the reason its called soccer is because it was called Assosiation Football, and then they shortened it to soccer look it up

you are completely right there, and did you know it was us english who invented the word soccer to distinguish it from our old rugby football, then the americans started using it and we kept it as football in the end lol

mpd2779 FYI: USA Soccer was known as FOOTBALL long before American football came about. The ‘modern’ game of football rules officially started in 1815. There was a split at some point before America had playing field between the cambridge rules and Rugby rules for FOOTBALL. American Football came out of Rugby in 1879. So Americans called the ORIGINAL True FOOTBALL ’soccer’. Get your facts before you call people degrading things. Asshole.

3-Try running and keeping a ball at your feet. Then come to me and tell me you know what you’re talking about. I’ll take the ball from you and still make you look like a pawn on a chess board. That ball being only touched by the same feet you hold yourself upright makes the whole difference.
4-Pretty much all other sports you use sticks or your hands… using your feet in a manner as skillful as your feet is much harder.

2- Men differentiate themselves from animals and other primates in their ability to reason and think. That you hit other people has nothing to do… especially when you’re dressed in tight spandex and outfitted with huge armor… Rugby’s sick and those guys are men… Am. Football they’re athletes I’ll give them that, but most are just mindless brutes.
