@MarceloHardoy if you think that uefa champions league is better than the world cup, you are so wrong. you say club teams have the most valuable players, but those valuable players all come from a country don’t they? your comparing Ghana to manu? how about comparing top teams to top teams? manu to england, barca to spain, bayen to germany. villareal is in the champions league pool, and are they a powerhouse? plus uefa champions league are teams in Europe, not the world.
@rafaellimabastos You don’t understand. The World Cup means you have teams like China, Costa Rica, Honduras, Slovenia, which are not exactly powerhouses. In UEFA Champions League you have to face the best teams in the world, teasm that play together and practice together 8-9 months, and have the most valuable players. @rafaellimabastos Certainly, he had two career ending injuries and he came back. Kudos to Ronaldo for that. Don;t get me wrong, I love ROnaldo, great goal scorer. but I have never seen any player being so consistently good as Messi is. Winning 3 ballon d’ors at 24 is no joke, you have to get the mayority of coaches and captains of national teams to elect you, 3 times in a row. IN 2000, HE BLEW OUT HIS KNEE, even the doctors said that he would’t be able to play again,yet alone walk right. That’s what made them truly great. As to the creativity of ROnaldo’s goals, yes, he had many great goals, but I think Messi has surpassed him already in that department. Messi is a world class finisher, I maean, how many times did you see ROnaldo dribblig three, four players..

@MarceloHardoy Assists and saves are nice but its great creativegoals that people love to see what people remember thats what the phenomenon brought to the soccer world and he is now the benchmark for all others in his position. He plays on a stacked team with dilluted competiors and only had assists because he was in the central mid field position now he is stricking and does not assist as much and plays with the same perceived selfishness as Ronaldo did . @grooveboss Ronaldo could never dribble like Messi does, I have seen Messi take on 2,3,4 players without the need to be “flamboyant”. He is far more effective, look at his record, it speaks for itself. Ronaldo didn;t need to assist? You have to be kidding. It’s the team who needs the assists, not the passer. Ronaldo played for himself, not for the team. That’s why Messi is far superior.

@MarceloHardoy Thats a team tittle. Dan Marino did not win a super bowl but had every passing record in the book and is one of the greats. At the end of the day its about entertainment and ronaldo was down right entertaining and sought after because of that. Samba style bitch!!

@MarceloHardoy I agree but the national teams play a lot of friendlies and pre world cup matches and smaller international tournaments. I great entertainment and it does showcase a players intuitive ability to fuse with a team in short notice. Its the worlds biggest pick up game.

@ImTwixtorXD He was lucky he was discovered in the first place. But he is the best thats ever been and will be for a while. His teamates trusted in his ability in the brazilian national team and he was the man in front. If you watch his performance in club matches you will see that he sometimes scored all by himself to give his team confidence. But when playing with the brazilian squad he is going to appear lucky but thats because he has the best in soccer around him dream team.
