actually, some of the characters in the movie do speak Mandarin (the Northerners, like the boss of the Crocodile Gang from the opening sequence)
But the majority of the characters are Southerners, so of course they wouldn’t speak Mandarin
Try finding a Mandarin dubbed version, or just read the subs lol
