either way say whether you think they deserved it or not but after baggio should have made that penalty ill never forget, even though he is still my favorite soccer player ever. Buffon had only an own goal and penalty go by him so dont say he sucks and we didn’t deserve it, we just have the greatest defense goalie and coach so GET SHIT ON…..

What some, especially S. Americans overlook is that Italy and Germany although tactical and athletic have also produced some of the finest TECHNICAL players in soccer history, ex. Rivera, Beckembauer,Muller, Mazzola, Mathaeus, Rossi, Conti, Rummenigge, Baggio, Ballack. Pirlo. I don’t find this soccer boring. in fact when Germany and Italy meet in WC they have produced GREAT games in 2006, 1978, and historic 4-3 Game of Century in 1970. The tactical technical combo has made both nations very good

your absolutely right however your forgetting the fact that sports are an entertainment and it isn’t entertaining to watch this type of football, but if winning is all you care about then go for it. hey I’m german so i cant talk shit about looking pretty, still i prefer to watch teams like spain or brazil who actually play with passion.

I know why Italian football is disliked by some, its because its TACTICAL. Italy plays to their strength, Goaltending and DEFENSE, DEFENSE WINS IN SPORTS, we in AMERICA know this is true in ALL SPORTS and we have so many, baseball football, basketball (even where pressure D leads to fast break points), this is how Italy soccer plays for 50 years and it WORKS. 4 WC’s proves the point. In US we say its not how you play its if you WIN. No one GIVES A SHIT if you look pretty and lose.
