That thing that TheFlight815 is referring to is called sportsmanship. I’ve noticed it too. In football if a fight breaks out on the field or in the stands then the refs get into it and the police are called as well. In rugby if a fight breaks out on the field or in the stands the refs stand there and watch, because they know that once someone looses the game will continue with no lingering negative feelings on account of the disagreement has already been resolved. That’s called sportsmanship.

rugby fans care just as much about the outcome of a match but at the end of the day its only a game, its not worth beating someone up about. speaking for myself, when i go and watch rugby, me and my mates just wanna see a good match and have a drink, and if our team win, then great, but if not, we’ll wait till the next match. Fights break out on the field because of the adrenaline, i know, i play rugby, but after the fight its finished with, u shake hands and have a pint in the bar after

In rugby the fights are on the field, in soccer the fights are everywhere else, I’m a rugby fan but i always love to see a good ol fashon soccer riot, its a million times better than watching a soccer match.
I think of it this way. Football fans may be more violent, but that’s only because they care about the outcome of the game far more then rugby fans. So in theory football fans are way better then rugby fans.
note: I never insulted soccer. Also, the closest I came to insulting soccer players was by insinuating that they dive. Which they do. As a soccer player yourself (who probably watches far more soccer than I do), you should have been able to figure that one out yourself.
