There have been a lot of great college RBs maybe some that should have ben in the top 10 but Hershel was most def THE best. His runs are still stunning to watch all these years later. He is the definition of 1 in a million!

Pure freak of nature. Read a book about his life. Never lifted a weight in middle or high school and could dunk a basketball.

Man its a shame how the coaches in the NFL didnt use Herschel in the correct brain trust. He was a freak of nature. Just like Bo Jackson.
Ay man….you certainly have alot of football knoledge to recognize that. People sleep on Herschel. Bo is my favorite back and tha only one who was close to him was Herschal Walker..meaning similarities. So you have my respect.

I’m surprised Archie isn’t number one or two. Only two-time Hiesman. Others to think about : Eddie George. Cedric Benson, Ricky Williams, Tim Biatubutbuka.
He was not a bust at all…if you pull out some USFL game films of the Generals you will see he was the same. And the USFL had talent!

You’re ignorant. Herschel had everything a halfback needs and more. Barry Sanders only had one good season, it was probably the greatest season ever, but Herschel’s career is way better.
How did Ricky Williams not make this list??? He was better than Reggie Bush! Come on!
