byu’s stadium is surrounded by a great atmosphere, one of the best in college football.

Too bad we lost to Florida State yesterday. Although I think if we put together a string of convincing wins, we’ll still have a shot at a bowl game

This video gives me goosebumps. Especially now, since the BYU program is on the upswing once again.

I am picking BYU to upset UCLA on Saturday, 09/08/07. Anyone agree with me?

No Need to get in an argument.
All that matters is if we continue to see some more great plays out there.
GO COUGARS!!

jatube78, nothing is relevant before 1950. No one cares except perhaps you. So please stop boring everyone with your history lesson. Oh and by the way, Lavell won a national title. And the stadium is named after who?

Make that 9 seasons. Still pretty good for being the first guy to have a winning season at the Y.

Ott Romney (1928-1936) coached for 10 seasons and had only 2 losing years (both 4-5). Consider Crowton had 3 in 4 years…
The first truly great teams were 1964 onward, but these early ones were respectable at the very least.

BYU truly sucked from 1945-1963, outside of some growing pains the first few years. Why do people feel the need to misrepresent BYU football history just to honor a coach that doesn’t need historical misrepresentation to be honored?

8-1 is not sucky, especially in your 10th year of orgainzed football, scoring 188 points to giving up 50 (21 outside that year’s Utah game) isn’t either.
Research the records. Things weren’t horrible before the 3 year war hiatus 1942-1945.

iatube78, what in the crap are you talking about? 1932? LOL. Please, BYU sucked until Lavell came and were awesome with him. Period.

Great vid, but it omits BYU’s moderate success from the Depression to WW2. We even had a 8-1 season in 1932.
Lavell *did* put us on the map, but at least give some of the early teams some cred.
