Calcio: serie a vs premier league (original video)

Although they had waited a long summer for the big kick-off, football spread bettors were probably not expecting so much excitement on the Premier League’s first weekend. Sporting Index’s football traders would have been slightly more welcoming than their punters of Saturday’s six away wins and not a single top-flight draw among the ten fixtures. Benitez may well feel cheated but his team were outplayed by a sprightly Spurs and Manchester City silenced the naysayers with a solid performance complete with third-minute goal from Manu Adebayor.

Wigan have a current relegation index spread of 5-8 points, so perhaps spread punters were most surprised by their dismantling of Aston Villa in boss Roberto Martinez’s first ever Premier League game. Barely half an hour of the season had gone by before Hugo Rodallega treated us to a contender for goal of the season, but he and his teammates face a different kettle of fish in Manchester United this weekend. Buyers of United’s win index spread will note that since moving to the top-table of English football, the Latics have never beaten their Lancashire neighbours, neither home nor away. Buyers of United’s supremacy will be even more chuffed by the respective scoring records in this fixture. In the eight league contests so far, plus one League Cup clash in 2006, Wigan have scored just four goals to United’s 25. Another interesting point to note for those who like the bookings index spreads is that the last game at the DW stadium yielded no bookings, and this pairing have only seen 12 yellow cards in their last six meetings – an average of just 20 booking index points per match. However, spread sellers should be aware of the possibility of a card-fest, like the 2006 match which produced eight cautions.

Arsenal have six reasons to be pleased with their first game, along with all buyers of Arsenal’s supremacy spread before kick-off at Goodison Park last week. The Gunners will want to treat their home fans to a similar result in their first outing of the season at the Emirates. Sellers of opponents Portsmouth’s win index spread are sure to outnumber buyers of the spread as their record in the red half of North London is unimpressive. Pompey haven’t tasted victory over Arsenal in over 50 years, and have lost three of the last four meetings, scoring just a single goal. But buyers of Arsenal’s win index spread can be concerned too as half of all 12 Premier League meetings between the two have finished in a draw.

Both Fulham and Chelsea started the season with wins, despite Chelsea making buyers of their win index spread sweat for a full 90 minutes. The two meet on Sunday and again, buyers of the superior team’s supremacy spread may be surprised by the frequency of past draws. Three of the last six meetings have finished level, although only one was at Craven Cottage. A less obvious spread bet here, but no less exciting, is a wager on the time of the first goal. There has been a goal on or before 10 minutes of each of the last three head-to-heads and Bobby Zamora scored after just 13 minutes against Pompey last week. But while spread sellers might feel they have just nabbed a bargain they should be aware of the pitfalls of such a spread bet – September 2007’s match produced a 0-0 draw.

PREMIER LEAGUE!!!! Italian Football is for pussys.

Serie is more skillful while EPL is more powerful. for me serie a is far more entertaining

Manchester vs Inter 2-0 0-0// Man.Utd wins
Arsenal vs As Roma 1-0/0-1/ Arsenal wins with p
Chelsea vs Juventus 1-0/2-2 Chelsea wins

PL number one on Uefa ranking.
English teams dominated Europe with Barcelona.
What you want more?

What a meaningless argument!!! if u wanna compare leagues u should look to 20 teams not just 4 teams!!! apart from the top 4 in England, all other teams are sucks. Try to compare Man city (the one right after the top 4) to udinisi (10th in serie a). also, teams like cievo, palermo, sampdoria play amazing football.
