Even though he says he is fine, Sir Alex Ferguson is taking all the precautions and wants to be sure that he is completely back in shape to play again. Ferdinand has expressed that there is no reason why he would not be fit enough for the final; he has been running and making all the normal exercises of a football practice and is very optimistic about being on the final game for sure. However, for Ferguson it is not that simple since he has not played in three weeks and that is too much time for him and considers that if he is not fit enough for the game, he will be substituted by Johnny Evans. On the other hand, the Barcelona’s forward Lionel Messi has said that the mental strength that the Barcelona team has is their most important skill and that is what gave them the opportunity to beat Chelsea in the semifinals and have a spot on the final against Manchester United next week. He also expressed that they are all fighters and they will fight until the end to win the final and take the Champions League title home. He also explained that to be in the Champions League final is a dream that came true for him and that his desires and hopes to take the title home are not going away at least until next Wednesday on the big day.
